Trading Central specializes in providing white-label solutions for investment research. Among their diverse offerings, they deliver tailored UX solutions to clients. I had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the largest banks and brokers worldwide. If you are an investor, there's a strong likelihood that you've encountered one of Trading Central's investment products.
Enhancing the Investor Experience
Our approach focused on strategically embedding actionable insights throughout the investor's journey:
Identifying Key Touchpoints: We analyzed user behavior to determine where investors spend the most time on client platforms.
Integrating Snackable Insights: Bite-sized, relevant investment research was incorporated into high-traffic areas of the platform.
Supporting Informed Decisions: By providing timely information along the investor's path, we aimed to facilitate better decision-making.
Investor Journey - Validating Investment Idea
Client Case 1: Major investment bank in Canada
The client, a leading Canadian investment bank, aimed to enhance their mobile app's user experience by better integrating Trading Central's financial tools and analytics, creating an opportunity to improve functionality and promote Trading Central's premium offerings.
Through user surveys and app analytics, we found that the Stock and Markets pages were the most visited pages of the platform.
Thus, we decided to focus on optimizing these high-traffic areas, making it easier for users to access the already licensed Technical and News products while also adding a Fundamental product to encourage upselling.
In this case study, I’ll dive into the changes we made specifically to the Stock page.
Original design
A standard stock page with a chart, key data and a news feed.
Improved Design
Improved chart that shows relevant price analysis - trading volume, support and resistance levels, and interactive technical events. Updates that notify users of the important changes to the stock. Snackable insights on technical, fundamental and sentiment aspects of analysis with the links to full products. An indication whether the news are worth digging in deeper.

Results
The enhanced visibility of Trading Central’s products on client’s stock page led to a substantial uptick in user engagement and interaction across various features of these products.

Usage of the entire Technical product has seen a significant boost, thanks to its new placement on the stock page.

The dual placement of the News insight led to a significant rise in unique users for the Sentiment and News Analysis pages.

Technical’s Home page (that users land on when they click on one the Technical links on the Stock page) had almost 9x the users given its new placement, compared to before.
Updates we recommended led to a noticeable increase in users engaging with the already licensed products, which did not only add value for the users but also helped us build a stronger relationship with the client. While we didn’t achieve our upselling goals for the Fundamental product, the project's success has positioned us to pursue future upselling opportunities with greater confidence and credibility.
